Amaran is Aputure's budget sub-brand: same parent company, same Sidus Link app control, similar build philosophy. The difference is power tier and feature set. Amaran 200x is a 200W point-source COB; the
Aputure Storm 1200x is a 1,200W broadcast flagship. Both deliver CRI 95+ skin-tone whites, both run on Bowens or V-mount accessories, both talk to the same controller. Pick Amaran when 200W is enough light and the budget matters more than the headroom.
Should I rent the F22c RGB or the F22x bi-color for my shoot?
Both are 2x2 LiteMats with the same softbox kit, same V-mount power, same CRI 95 / TLCI 98 / CQS 96 color science. The F22x is bi-color only (2500 to 7500K white) at 6960 lux at 3.3ft. The F22c adds full RGB HSI alongside the bi-color whites at 6420 lux. Pick the F22x when you need the brightest white-only key for interview or product. Pick the F22c when you want gels handled inside the fixture for music video, fashion, or narrative looks.
Are Amaran 200x accessories Bowens-compatible?
Yes. The Amaran 200x ships with a Bowens reflector mount, so any Bowens dome, octa, fresnel, snoot, lantern, or projection accessory swaps onto it. The same softbox grip kit you'd run on an Aputure Storm 1200x or 400x mounts on the 200x. Beam angle is 105 degrees through the included reflector.

Do you deliver Amaran lighting across the GTA?
Yes. We deliver Amaran 200x, F22c, and F22x kits across Toronto and the GTA for an additional fee. You'll get a delivery quote at the booking step based on your shoot location, and the delivery covers the softbox frame, diffusers, grids, and stands if you've added them.
