The Remus 1.5x set lands a true 2.39:1 deliverable out of a 6:5 capture window with the classic oval bokeh and silver streak horizontal flares that define the look. The Apex 1.33x set lands the same 2.39:1 finish out of a standard 16:9 sensor readout, which means no special crop on a stock Sony FX3 or A7-series body. The Blazar Apex set lands cleanly on a standard 16:9 sensor and de-squeezes to 2.39:1 with no special crop math, so it suits Sony FX3, FX6, and A7-series bodies that don't have a dedicated 6:5 anamorphic mode. Pick 1.5x for narrative and music video character, 1.33x for run-and-gun and brand work where speed beats maximum squeeze character.
What mounts are the Remus and Apex sets in?
The Blazar Remus 1.5x set is native PL, which pairs with RED V-Raptor and Komodo-X via locking PL, or with Sony FX6 and FX3 via PL-to-E adapter. The Blazar Apex 1.33x set is native Sony E with full electronic autofocus, eye AF, and aperture control, so it drops onto FX3, FX6, FX30, and A7-series bodies without an adapter. PL adapters are stocked in-house for cross-mounting if a shoot calls for it.
Will these anamorphic lenses cover full-frame and Super 35 sensors?
The Remus 1.5x set is built for Super 35 and 6:5 anamorphic capture windows. It covers RED V-Raptor in 6K S35 mode and Komodo-X 6K S35 cleanly, and pairs with FX6 and FX3 in S35 crop. The Apex 1.33x set is Super 35 and APS-C native and covers a 16:9 readout without vignette on FX3, FX6, FX30, and A7-series in S35 or APS-C mode.
