Viva Camera stocks two complete Blazar anamorphic sets at 777 The Queensway. The Remus 4-prime set is a 1.5x squeeze on PL with silver flares for narrative and music video work. The Apex 2-prime set is a 1.33x squeeze with autofocus on native Sony E for run-and-gun anamorphic on FX3 / FX6 / A7-series. No second-hand Sirui or Vazen sub-rentals. What you book is what we own.

Two Squeeze Ratios, Two Workflows
The Remus set squeezes 1.5x for the classic 2.39:1 widescreen finish out of a 4:3 / 6:5 capture window. Sharp wide open at T1.8, oval bokeh, silver streak flares, no breathing on focus pulls. Rents as a 4-prime set or by single focal length.
The Apex set squeezes 1.33x and lands cleanly on standard 16:9 sensors for a 2.39:1 deliverable with no special crop math. Native Sony E mount with autofocus, so it pairs with FX3 / FX6 / A7-series for solo operators who want anamorphic character without a 1st AC.

When to pick anamorphic over spherical
- Music video and narrative where lens character is part of the story
- Wide aspect ratio finish without cropping the sensor (1.5x on 6:5, 1.33x on 16:9)
- Oval bokeh + horizontal flares as a stylistic call
- Skip anamorphic for documentary, broadcast, and tight-deadline corporate work
Camera and recording compatibility
- Remus PL: native on RED V-Raptor / Komodo-X with locking PL, or via PL-to-E adapter on FX6 / FX3
- Apex Sony E: native on FX6, FX3, FX30, A7-series
- Capture in 6:5 or 4:3 anamorphic mode where supported (RED, Komodo-X, FX6 anamorphic de-squeeze)
- De-squeeze in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, FCP via lens metadata or manual aspect
