Common questions

Which lens should I rent for which camera body?
For RED V-Raptor 8K VV and Komodo-X 6K S35, most crews pair PL cine primes (DZOFilm Vespid, Arles VV) or PL anamorphic (Blazar Remus 1.5x) via the PL-to-RF adapter that ships with the kit. For Sony FX6, FX3, and A7-series, native E mount Sigma Art zooms and Sony G Master primes are the fastest path to a working build. Tell us the body and we will spec the glass on the same booking.
What lens mounts and adapters do you stock?
Native PL on the cine primes and zooms, native Sony E on the photo glass, with Blazar Apex anamorphic available in E mount. PL-to-RF, EF-to-RF, and PL-to-E adapters are in the kit so any lens can ride any body. LPL and RF native lenses available on request.
What's the difference between full-frame, Vista Vision, and Super 35 lens coverage?
Super 35 (S35) covers a smaller image circle, used by Komodo-X and FX30. Full-frame covers the standard 36x24mm sensor on V-Raptor's full-frame mode and the FX6, FX3, and A7-series. Vista Vision (VV) is larger still: DZOFilm Arles VV and the V-Raptor 8K VV mode read the full 8K Vista Vision image circle. Pick the lens line that covers the sensor mode you're shooting.
Anamorphic vs spherical: which one for my shoot?
Spherical (DZOFilm Vespid, Arles, Sigma Art, Sony GM) is the working default: predictable bokeh, sharp across the frame, easy focus. Anamorphic (Blazar Remus 1.5x and Apex 1.33x) gives the cinematic squeeze, oval bokeh, and horizontal flares for music video, narrative, and high-end commercial. Remus runs PL on full-frame 3:2 coverage; Apex runs Sony E with autofocus.
Can I add matte box, ND, and follow focus to my lens rental?
Yes. Matte box (sized for cine front diameters), 4x5.65 ND filter sets (0.3 / 0.6 / 0.9 / 1.2 plus IR-cut), follow focus (Tilta Nucleus-M or DJI Focus Pro), and lens support are add-ons in the booking flow. Add at the lens-side and the kit ships configured for the shoot.
Do you deliver lens rentals across the GTA?
Yes. We deliver lens packages across the GTA for an additional fee. You will get a delivery quote at the booking step based on your shoot location.
