How to choose
Match the body to the shoot
- Pick the shoot typeWho runs the camera? A solo operator usually wants built-in ND and XLR on the body; a full crew can build around a cinema body. What does it go on? A tripod, shoulder, gimbal or car mount decides how big a body you can carry. Where does sound come from: into the camera or a separate recorder? Browse cinema camera rentals for narrative and commercial work, video camera rentals for documentary, event and interview work, or action cameras for POV.
- Match the body and kitMatch the lens mount, sensor coverage, recording format, media, power, monitoring and audio to your shoot. See the exact listing for what is included.
- Ask, then pick your datesNot sure? Call or text +1 437 747 6030. We try to respond within an hour on weekdays and within 24 hours on the weekend. Check camera availability. Technical support for all rented equipment. Test selected equipment at our Toronto location before your rental.

FAQ
Before you book a camera
How do camera bodies and kits differ?
Some listings are body only. Check what each camera or kit includes, then add lenses, media, batteries, adapters and monitoring as needed. Browse camera packages or call or text +1 437 747 6030 to discuss a custom build.
Do I need production insurance?
Not always. We recommend production insurance for any shoot, and if you have a certificate of insurance, let us know at booking. We will require insurance and/or a deposit depending on the total replacement value of the equipment you rent or if it's your first time renting with us, and we will notify you if insurance is required for your order.
Solo shooters and small teams without a production policy can still rent most gear.
What paperwork do RED cameras need?
Insurance or a COI is required to rent RED cinema bodies, along with a deposit, two pieces of ID and a reference from a local GTA rental house or production. International customers, please contact us for details.
Name Viva Media as additional insured on the COI.
